The clinical duties of the Medical Assistant are performed under the direct supervision of a nurse practitioner or physician. The Medical Assistant carries out clinician orders and performs/assists with patient care procedures and treatments.
Duties
- Gathering basic clinical information and presenting it to the supervising Physician
- Getting Vital signs
- Maintaining list of active patients
- Administration of injections
- Basic patient customer service
- Basic patient education
- Inventory management
- Daily count of medication vials
- Reporting to supervising Nure Practitioner on site at start and end of shift
- Drafting visit encounters in EHR at the end of the visit
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Completion of all requirements in a recognized Medical Assisting training program.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Ability to work independently as well as an integral part of the patient care team is required.
- Ability to interact with potential patients, clinic staff, physicians and departments in a professional manner.
- Must maintain professional appearance and demeanor and interface well with patients in a mental health setting.
- Must respect and adhere to office guidelines and use good judgment regarding patient confidentiality.
- Punctual, reliable and flexible.
- One to two years prior experience as a MA preferred.
- Experience working with patients who are suffering from anxiety and depression preferred.

The pay range for this role is:
20 - 25 USD per hour(Roseville)
